Christy holds a PhD in Microbiology and Environmental Engineering from the University of Queensland, and a Masters of Intellectual Property from the University of Technology Sydney.
Christy is experienced in many facets of the patent field including the preparation and filing of patent of specifications, patent prosecution, as well as drafting opinions such as freedom to operate, validity and infringement opinions. Christy enjoys working closely with her clients to achieve first class outcomes.
Prior to joining the patent profession, Christy worked as a research officer on a number of pilot scale research projects at the University of Queensland. During her PhD Christy had her work published in peer reviewed scientific journals. After her PhD was conferred Christy moved in to the commercialisation space by working as a commercial analyst for QUT Bluebox, the innovation transfer company for the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
