Nice Classification Changes in 2021 – by Jenny Mackie
From 1 January 2021 there will be changes made to the 11th Edition of the Nice Classification.
The main changes are to the class headings for classes 35 and 36
The changes to the class headings for class 35 and 36 are:
Class 35 Advertising; business management, organization and administration; business administration; office functions
Class 36 Financial, monetary and banking services; insurance services; financial affairs; monetary affairs; real estate affairs
Applications that were filed before 1 January 2021 will not be reclassified. However, applications filed on, or from, this date will need to accord with the 2021 version.
